Associate a Recommended Catalog with a Chanel

All of the recommended course and learning paths for a specific channel should be added to a catalog. That catalog then must be associated with that specific channel. Users can then see all courses and learning paths by selecting that channel topic.

Note

Assets and playlists should be assigned to the channel ands courses and learning paths should be assigned to the catalog.

To associate recommenced catalog with a channel, complete the following steps:

1. From a browser, log in to Docebo using your Keller Williams user name and password.

2. Open the channel to which you are adding recommended content. Remember the channel ID. The channel ID is the number near the end of the Channel page URL.

3. Create a new Course Catalog:

   1. Click the gear icon in the top right corner to access the Admin Menu.

   2. Click Course Catalog from the E-Learning section.

   3. On the Course Catalog page click New Catalog.

   4. The Name should be the same as the above Channel name.

   5. Enter the Channel ID with the pattern R-%ID% in the Code field. For example, R-108.

   6. Click Confirm.

4. Assign the same group(s) of users that have access to the above channel:

   1. On the Course Catalog page, click the Assign User icon for the Course Catalog.

   2. Click Assign Users.

   3. On the Assign Users window, click Groups and select the same groups as above.

   4. Click Confirm.

   5. When the users are assigned, click Close.

5. Assign the recommended courses and learning paths to the Course Catalog:

   1. On the Course Catalog page, click the Assign Courses icon for the Course Catalog.

   2. Click Assign Courses.

   3. On the Assign Courses window, select the courses and learning paths to add to this catalog.

   4. Click Confirm.

   5. When the courses and learning paths are assigned, click Close.

   All assets, recommended courses, and recommended learning paths are now grouped under the topic channel.

   Note

   It can take some time for the new channel to display in Connect.
